肺结核

The TB test is a two-part process, and you will be given your documentation at the second visit. On the first visit you receive your injection, and on the second visit you are checked for a reaction to the injection.

2013年秋季学期开始, 十大电子游艺网站排行 has implemented 肺结核 (TB) 测试 for all Non-US Citizen/Non-Permanent Residents, 任何一个学生, 教师 或员工 meeting high-risk criteria. Students must meet the following criteria to be eligible for enrollment:

Students are not eligible to register for classes unless they have provided evidence of having had one of the following, no greater than 6 months prior to their arrival to the University:

• Negative TB blood test-Acceptable TB blood tests (interferon-gamma release assays or IGRA’s) include: QuantiFeron_®-TB Gold或T-SPOT_®.
• Positive TB skin test with a negative TB blood test
• It is not required that the 测试 be done in the United States.
• Sputum or negative x-rays are not acceptable.

All documentation for 测试 done outside the 学生健康中心 must include:

• Date the TB skin test was administered or TB blood test was drawn.
• Date the TB skin test was read or date the TB blood test was resulted.
• Results reported in millimeters and/or “negative” or “positive” for TB skin
  测试. Results reported as “negative” or “positive” for TB blood 测试.

• Documentation signed by a qualified health care provider licensed to read TB skin

• Name of the medical facility where 测试 was done.

If any of the above information is missing from the documentation, the student will not be eligible for enrollment until all deficiencies are corrected and turned in to the 学生健康中心.

All documentation will be turned in to the 学生健康中心 via the Health Center patient portal at http://patient-lamar.medicatconnect.com/.

TB skin 测试 is available at the 十大电子游艺网站排行 学生健康中心 (人体自燃). Two appointments, 48 hours apart, are required for TB 测试. Students with a positive skin test will be given the blood test, 这可能需要长达一周的时间才能得到结果, further delaying the student’s registration/attendance in class. The 学生健康中心 is located at 857 E. Virginia, and can be reached via telephone at 409 - 880 - 8466. The 学生健康中心 will provide a list of alternative medical sites which also provide TB skin 测试 should students prefer to be tested elsewhere. This  list is included above, under "Additional Clinics". 

All students with a positive TB blood test will be referred to the Beaumont City Health Department (BCHD). All charges incurred at the BCHD or any other outside medical facility will be the responsibility of the student, 教师, 或员工. Failure to comply will result in the student prohibited from continuing their studies.
